Trust is the foundation of your experience with Antaa and starts with you trusting us to do the right thing with your information. Three core values guide all that we do when it comes to respecting and ensuring the privacy of your information. These values should help you better understand how we manage your information and privacy.
First, your information belongs to you. It does not belong to us and never will. We carefully examine what types of information is needed to provide our services to you and we start with a goal of collecting the absolute minimum needed to ensure quality service back to you.
Second, your information serves you. When building our product and iterating on new features we are vigilant and mindful of our obligation in protecting your information at all times. All information collected must have a direct link back to serving you as our customer.
Third, we do not share your information with others. We do not sell your information or make it available to partners or any third party requests. If requested, we will refuse unless you provide explicit approval or we are legally required by law. In the unlikely event of the latter (legally required), we will contact you in advance unless legally prohibited from doing so.
Why We Collect Your Information
We collect your information when we need to complete specific workflows within the application or on our website. These workflows are necessary to ensure we have user authentication, personal gift and wish lists entries, access to contacts and friends and sharing of gifts desired or purchased through the use of our application.
How We Use Your Information
We use information you provide to us in support of our core user journeys which are focused on providing service to you in the form of adding gifts to a personal wishlist and sharing with friends and family. One of the ways in which we are able to provide highly curated product and gift ideas is by using technologies like machine learning (European law refers to this as “automated decision-making”) to help us provide you with product ideas which are tailored to you, thereby providing you with a richer in-application and more rewarding experience.
Who Has Access To Your Information
We do not share your information with any third parties, partners or affiliates. In addition access to your personal information is also restricted within Antaa whereby only specific employees with specific access rights and justified business needs who support you, have access to your information.
Your Rights Over Your Information
Your information is your information and we believe you should have access and control over your personal information. Therefore, you can request access to your personal information at any time. Please note that if you send us a request relating to your personal information, we have to ensure that it is you before we can process the request. In order to do so, we will require documentation offering proof of identity which will be discarded after verification and will never be collected by us.
It is your right to designate an authorized agent to obtain your personal information on your behalf. In order to process this request, we will need documentation offering proof of identity and authorization from you permitting an agent to act on your behalf.
If at any time you are not satisfied with our response to a request, you can contact us to resolve the issue. You also have the right to contact your local data protection or privacy authority.
Where We Send Your Information
We are a Canadian company, but we work with and process information for people all over the world. To operate our business, we may send your data outside of your state, province, or country, including to the United States subject to where Antaa has partnered with Cloud storage providers. Our selection of Cloud Storage is determined by the providers ability to protect and safeguard your data at rest. This data may be subject to the laws of the countries where we send it. When we send your information across borders, we take steps to protect your information and we try to only send your information to countries with strong data protection laws. Transfers of Data Outside Europe
When we send your personal information outside of Europe, we do so in accordance with European Law. If you are in Europe, when we send your personal information to Canada it is protected under Canadian law, which the European Comissions has found will adequately protect your information.
